India Junior and Senior Women Hockey Players in Delhi for Camps

The Junior Women Core probables of India have started their preparations for 7th Women’s Junior Asia Cup, scheduled in Changzhou, China from 5th September- 13th September 2015.

Seniors are preparing themselves for RIO Olympics, as the Indian women Hockey is expecting ticket to RIO after their 5th position finish at the just culminated FINTRO Hockey World League Semi-Final 2015 in Belgium. India U-21 Women beat England for 3rd Place, Men finished 4th #VolvoTournament

After losing against England in their last league match, the India U-21 Women Team took revenge after beating them by 1-0 in shoot-out to finish 3rd in the Volvo U-21 (Women) Invitational Tournament 2015 held at Breda, The Netherlands.

The hosts, Netherlands defeated China by 5-1 to win the title and Germany edged past New Zealand by 2-1 to finish fifth in 6 team tournament.

India’s goal-keeper Inderpreet Kaur was the hero of the match as she brilliantly thwarted all attempts by the English players during the penalty shootout which helped India clinch the closely fought match and the 3rd position. Rani Scored Hat-Trick in India’s 6-1 Win over New Zealand at Breda

Riding on captain Rani Rampal’s Hat-trick, India Under-21 Women Hockey team defeated New Zealand by 6-1 to register first win in Volvo Invitational U-21 (Women) Tournament today.

India girls had lost their first match to Netherlands by 0-1 and played an exciting 4-4 draw with Germany in Breda.

Both the teams in their bid to not allow easy goals to each other ensured that their defence was strong, restricting the forwards to capitalise on the opportunities. USA women beat Canada and Canada men beat Brazil in their semi-final match, to confirm their place in the final of the Pan Am Games hockey event and ultimately their place in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. India Men Climbs to 8th place in latest FIH Ranking, Top Unchanged

  • Australia and the Netherlands maintain top spot in men’s and women’s FIH World Rankings
  • India and Canada men move up the rankings
  • Changes in the women’s top eight as USA slide down rankings

The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has released the latest World Rankings following the completion of the four events comprising the Hockey World League Semi-Finals – Buenos Aires and Antwerp (men); Valencia and Antwerp (women).

World Cup holders Australia men and the Netherlands women remain at the top of the World Rankings after both teams won their respective Hockey World League Semi-Final events, beating Belgium and Korea in the finals. India Girls held Germany for 4-4 draw, Boys lost to Belgium by 3-1

After losing to the Netherlands by 0-1 in their first match, India Under-21 Women Hockey team came back strong against Germany today and went on to draw the match 4-4 in the Volvo Invitational U-21 (Women) Tournament today. India Under-21 Men were defeated (1-3) by Belgium in their 3rd match after two convincing wins against Germany (3-0) and New Zealand (3-0).
