Blue Ds innovation trialled at Investec Hockey World League

17 June 2013: England Hockey is today announcing that modifications have been made to the competition pitch for the Investec Hockey World League Semi-Final. Following the need to relocate the event from Germany to England at short notice, some renovation work was scheduled to the field of play at the University of Westminster in preparation for the tournament.

England Hockey, in agreement with the International Hockey Federation (FIH), commissioned this remedial work in order to meet the expectations of an event of this stature and to deliver consistent playing characteristics. Continue reading →

London legacy continues as hockey set to host Investec World League Semi Final

26 February 2013: England Hockey and the International Hockey Federation (FIH) are delighted to announce that London has been selected to host the women’s Investec Hockey World League Semi Final.

The event, a World Cup qualification tournament, will be staged as part of England Hockey’s ongoing commitment to fulfilling the legacy provided by the London 2012 Olympic Games. It will offer thousands of sports fans the opportunity to see world class hockey live in England again after watching the Great Britain women’s team win Olympic bronze at the Riverbank Arena.
