Madhya Pradesh are champions of Sr Women’s Hockey Nationals 2015 (B-Division)

Hockey Madhya Pradesh defeated Hockey Patiala 4-0 to clinch the title of the 5th Senior National Hockey Championship 2015 (Women) ‘’B’’ Division at Saifai today. In the Bronze Medal match, Hockey Bihar edged past Association of Indian Universities by 3-2 to finish at 3rd position in the tournament.

Hockey Madhya Pradesh convincingly beat Hockey Patiala 4-0 and lifted the title of the 5th Senior National Hockey Championship 2015 (Women) ‘’B’’ Division today. Hockey Madhya Pradesh produced a clinical performance throughout the match and left no scope for Hockey Patiala to score. Hockey Madhya Pradesh drew their first blood through Jyoti Pal who then sneaked in three goals in the 23rd, 26th and 29th minute, the first one coming from a penalty corner and the other two field goals. Chandigarh, Services and CAG won in Lucknow Nationals (A-Division)

14 March 2014: On the opening day for Pool A and Pool B matches of the 4th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2014 (Division A) being played at Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium in Lucknow, Chandigarh Olympic Association, Services Sports Control Board and Comptroller & Auditor General of India, all registered their maiden win in their respective matches.

Chandigarh Olympic Association played an excellent match against Andhra Pradesh and defeated them with 4-2 in Pool A. Chandigarh Olympic Association was on a full throttle in the first half of the match as they dominated with a 2-0 lead till half time. Chandigarh’s Tarandeep Singh started off with the goal scoring spree for the team in the 9th minute of the game, followed by Navdeep Singh’s two goals in the 20th and 39th minute and Lakhwinder singh in the 51st minute. Pune Hockey Nationals 2013 Day 10: Defending Champions Punjab, Manipur and Jharkhand in Quarters

6 June 2013: Defending champions Punjab along with Manipur and Jharkhand has entered the Quarter-Finals of the 3rd Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2013 being played in Pune. Chandigarh, Railways, Haryana and Air India are the other teams who have already qualified for the Quarter-finals.

Riding on form of former Indian captain Deepak Thakur, who scored 5 goals, Punjab defeated Delhi 9-2 in their last league match of Pool A to emerge pool toppers.

In addition to 5 goals of Deepak for unbeatable Punjab, Vikramjit Singh scored thrice while Davinder Pal Singh found the target once. Pawan Singh Chauhan and Avtar Singh Mann scored a goal each for Delhi to reduce the margin to 9-2.

In Pool C, Karnataka registered their third consecutive win, as they defeated Bihar 8-1. Karnataka scored through S K Uthappa (11 min), Nikkin Thimmaiah (22 min), S K Chingappa (29, 31 min), M K Muddappa (39 min), Vickram Kant (43 min), B S Bidappa (51 min) and M G Poonacha (52 min) while Bihar’s only reply came from Satnam Singh (56 min). New Delhi, 3 June 2013: On 7th day of Pune Hockey Nationals 2013, Association of Indian Universities and Karnataka registered big wins in their league matches played at Major Dhyan Chand Polygrass Hockey Stadium, Pimpri in Pune, while Services, Odisha and Manipur also won their respective matches.

3rd Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2013Association of Indian Universities registered easy win over Gujarat 19-1 in their Pool A league match. Railways, Haryana & Air India reach Pune Hockey Nationals 2013 Quarter-finals

New Delhi, 2 June 2013: Indian Railways, Air India and Haryana entered the quarter-finals of the Pune Hockey Nationals 2013. They defeated Namdhari XI, MPHA and Maharashtra respectively on 6th day of the 3rd Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2013 played at Shiv Chattrapati Sports Complex in Pune to book their seats in knock out stage.

Chandigarh enter Quarter-finals of Women’s Hockey Nationals

Bhopal, October 18: Chandigarh registered their third win in Pool G to book their berth for the quarterfinals of 2nd Hockey India Senior Women National Championship, Bhopal on Thursday. MPHA, Railways and Odisha have already entered the quarterfinals.

In a high voltage clash of Pool G Chandigarh defeated Karnataka 3-2. Chandigarh opened their account through Rajini in the 8th minute while Karnataka scored an equalizer in the 34th minute through field goal by Chitra Korakutira. Continue reading →
