Last Chance to Impress for Junior World Cup Hopefulls for Black Sticks, Annual U21 Tournament Starts on 5th May

New Zealand’s top young talent will come together for the annual U21 Tournament in Whangarei next week with the upcoming Junior World Cup foremost in their minds.

Black Sticks LogoThe action gets underway this Sunday and runs throughout the week, culminating in finals day on Saturday 11th May.

On the Women’s side of the draw, one of the teams to watch will be Canterbury which features no less than four Black Sticks squad members – Cassandra Reid, Jenny Storey, Olivia Merry and Sian Fremaux. Continue reading →

England U-16 and U-18 Boys and Girls vs Belgium Results and Reports

England’s Under-16 and Under-18 Boys and Girls played three test match series against their Belgian counterparts. At Antwerp, Belgium Under-16 Girls won the series 2-1, while same age group Boys’ series was tied 1-1 with one draw game. At Canterbury, England, Under-18 home-sides won both Girls and Boys series 2-1.

Bronze for India in the U-18 Girls Asia Cup

5th positioned in last edition, India,  defeated defending champions Korea 2-0 to win the Bronze Medal in the 3rd Girls U-18 Asia cup at Bangkok, Anupa Barla (43 minute) and Navjot Kaur (68 minute) scored goals for India.
