Luciana Aymar signed a shirt and gifted it to the Hockey Foundation as a fundraiser for the Junior Black Sticks and it is available to purchase here on our online auction.

Playing for Argentina, four times Olympic medallist, Luciana Aymar is the only player to have been awarded Player of the Year by the International Hockey Federation seven times.

Compared to footballer Diego Maradona for her magical dribbling skills, she is an absolute sensation in Argentina and idolised by hockey players the world over. It has been professionally framed and is an absolute prized possession for any hockey fan!

The Hockey Foundation has raised more than $50,000 for the Junior Black Sticks Men and Women ahead of the 2013 Junior World Cup at a glitzy gala dinner in Auckland, which was attended by over 300 people including the 1976 Olympics Gold Medalists Arthur Parkin, Greg Dayman and Ramesh Patel.

Future Black Sticks Supporters Club, an initiative which aims to attract a group of donors which will help reduce the costs for athletes on their journey towards the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, was also launched at the occasion. To know more about the Supporters Club, click here.

The Hockey Foundation has raised more than $50,000 for the Junior Black Sticks Men and Women ahead of the 2013 Junior World Cup at a glitzy gala dinner in Auckland.

Over 300 people attended the Craigs Investment Partners Junior Black Sticks Gala Dinner held at the Langham Hotel two weeks ago, and with 34 auction items up for grabs throughout the evening there was incredible support from the hockey community and business leaders.

The generous spirit of the hockey community and the entertainment throughout made it a very special evening.

Junior Black Stick Jared Panchia attended and said it was humbling to meet in person some of the sponsors and the generous individuals that support the teams.

“A lot of the Junior Black Sticks are studying and it is often our parents we rely on for financial support for the various tournaments we attend. It is just awesome that people out there are willing to help and support us – it means a lot,” says Panchia. Continue reading →
