20 March 2014: Hosts Uttar Pradesh, Railways and Air India Sports Promotion Board along with Comptroller & Auditor General Of India reached the semi-finals of the 4th Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2014 (Division A).

In a Pool A match, Air India Sports Promotion Board bagged an easy win over Andhra Pradesh as they out righted the latter with a 3-0 lead till the half time of the match. 20 March 2014: Railways, Haryana, Jharkhand and Punjab qualified for the semi-finals of the ongoing 4th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship 2014 (A Division) in Bhopal at Aish Bagh and MDC stadium.

Haryana will meet Jharkhand in the first Semi-final and Punjab will take on Railways in the second semi final to be played this Saturday.
In a pool B match, Railways defeated Bihar with a massive goal difference of 24-0 including 20 Field Goals and four penalty corners. The first goal was scored by Rani in the 5th minute. Rani emerged as the highest scorer of the match scoring in the 8th, 34th, 46th and 62 minute. By half time, Railways had consolidated 11-0 lead over Bihar. Railways continued their dominance in the second half as well where they scored additional 13 goals to take the score further ahead to 24-0. In a pool C match, played between Uttar Pradesh and Bhopal, the undefeated Uttar Pradesh bagged yet another victory in the championship today and defeated the latter 6-1. Diwakar Ram’s goals scoring spree for the team today started as early as in the 5th minute of the game, followed by his second in 18th minute and ended with piercing the last the goal of the match in the 63rd minute.
