Jalandhar November 3, 2014: Indian Oil Mumbai beat Rail Coach Factory (RCF Kapurthala) by 5-3 and Punjab Police beat Bharat Petroleum by 4-2 to earn full points in men’s section of the 31st Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here today. In Women’s section RCF Kapurthala registered second consecutive victory by beating Haryana XI by 6-3.

In men section first match in Pool A last year’s runners-up Indian Oil beat RCF Kapurtahala. In the 10th minute of the match Olympian Parabhjot Singh netted the ball from left flank (1-0). In the 15th minute Vikas Sharma scored the goal from the top of the circle to make it 2-0 for Indian Oil. In 20th minute RCF’s Simrandeep Singh converted the penalty corner to reduce the margin. In Women section’s first match Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala beat Punjab XI (India) by 5-1 to get three points. In men sections Army XI beat Punjab Police by 4-1, Punjab National Bank edged past ONGC by 1-0 and Holders Punjab & Sind Bank defeated Namdhari XI by 4-2.
In men section Pool B match Army XI grounded Punjab Police by 4-1. Army took lead in 12th minute when their Siraju AP converted the penalty corner (1-0). In 19th minute Punjab Police scored equalizer with the field goal by Jagmeet Singh (1-1). In 29th minute of the play Army once again took lead with penalty corner conversion by Siraju AP (2-1). In the today match, young and spirited RCF defaeted Indian Overseas Bank by 4-0. In the first league fixtures, the Rail Coach Factory displayed controlled hockey in the first half. They took lead in the 25th minute of the play when RCF’s Sandeeep Singh netted the ball from the pass of Captain Gaganpreet Singh (1-0). Jalandhr, October 18: Backed by a vociferous crowd, Punjab & Sind Bank beat defending champions Indian Oil to win the 30th Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament 2013 at the Burlton Park Stadium here late this evening.
In the final see-saw battle, the bank men outpaced and outsmarted Indian Oil by two goals to one (2-1) to lift the trophy besides pocketing Rs 5 lakh, a winner’s cheque. Jalandhar 16 October 2013: The semifinal line up of the 30th Indian Oil Sarvo Surji Singh Hockey Tournament is known. The defending champions IOCL will face Army XI, while ONGC take on PSB in the semi-finals to be played tomorrow, which will be live on PTC channel.

On the last of day quarter-final league stage, Punjab & Sind Bank became the third team to qualify for semis while ONGC completed the semi-final line-up.
ONGC defeated BSF 3-0 to top the Pool-B. It was a bad day for BSF which conceded a self-goal to their rivals through Raj Singh in the 24th minute. ONGC leading 1-0 at half time, doubled the lead through Bikash Topo in the 49th minute. And Sarabjit Singh scored a field goal in the 61st minute to complete the tally of 3-0 for ONGC.
