Tonight the U.S. Women’s National Team played with passion, enthusiasm and energy for the entire Pan American Cup Semi- Final match. A fierce, competitive battle ended with Team USA earning a 4-0 win and a ticket to the gold-medal match against Argentina.

Korea are the latest team to be confirmed as qualifiers for the Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014, which will take place at the Kyocera Stadium in The Hague, Netherlands from 31st May to 15th June next year.
The International Hockey Federation (FIH) announced that Korea are the latest team to be confirmed as qualifiers for the Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014 after the completion of the Men’s Pan American Cup 2013 in Brampton, Canada.
Korea – who just missed out on direct World Cup qualification by finishing fourth at the recent Hockey World League Semi-Final in Johor Bahru, Malaysia – were promoted from first reserves to guaranteed participants courtesy of Argentina’s success in the Pan American continental championship on Saturday. June 30, 2013 – The U.S. Women’s National Field Hockey Team recorded five second half goals en route to a 6-0 shutout performance over No. 17 Italy on the final day of competition at the World League Semi-Final in London, while South Africa beat Spain 3-2 to finish 7th in the competition.
Paige Selenski (Shavertown, Pa.) celebrating her 23rd birthday, recorded a hat trick with three consecutive goals in a span of 10 minutes.
While the top three finishers from both World League Semi-Finals automatically earn a ticket to the World Cup event in The Hague, Netherlands next year, there is a good chance that a fifth place finish for Team USA at this tournament may be enough to qualify. Continue reading →
SEPTEMBER 20, 2012: Canada qualifies for 2013 Junior World Cup: Men and Women move on to finals of Pan American Junior Championships
In outstanding team performances today, the Canadian Men’s and Women’s Junior National Field Hockey Teams have qualified for the 2013 Junior World Cup and moved into the finals of the 2012 Pan American Junior Championships.

Canada’s Junior Women took the field against Chile early this afternoon. With the support of a loud Canadian fan section and a ticket to the Junior World Cup on the line – this team played with grit and determination. Holly Stewart scored the first goal of the match, but Chile quickly responded to even the score. With a 1 – 1 tie at halftime, the second half was up for grabs. A field goal by Jessica Buttinger just two minutes into the half gave Canada the edge. Caashia Karringten’s goal off a penalty corner in the 57th minute followed by a strong Canadian defense gave the Junior Women a solid 3 – 1 win. Continue reading →
SEPTEMBER 17, 2012: The Canadian Men’s and Women’s Junior National Teams have qualified for the semi-finals of the Pan American Junior Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico – and stay in the running for tickets to the Junior World Cup.
Canada’s Men finished first in their pool after a solid 3 – 1 victory over Mexico on Friday afternoon. After taking an early 1 – 0 lead off a penalty corner by Sam Jones (Vancouver, BC), Canada battled for possession the remainder of the first half.
