26 April 2013: Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy completed the quarter-final line-up with emphatic victories in their concluding league matches of the 3rd Hockey India Senior Women National Championship at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in the Guru Govind Singh Sports College in Lucknow.

24 April 2013: Bihar defeated Jammu & Kashmir 9-0 (Pool D) with the help of 5 goals from Aprajita Kumari, including a hat-trick in the 3rd Hockey India Senior Women National Hockey Championship at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in the Guru Govind Singh Sports College Lucknow on Wednesday. Junior Women’s Hockey National Championship 2013 Updates, Haryana & Odisha Reach Quarter-finals

23 April 2013: Pooja Rani, Jyoti Gupta and Reena Rani scored four goals each, as Haryana raced to 23-0 win against Uttarakhand in their concluding Pool A league game and entered the quarter-finals of 3rd Hockey India Junior Women National Championship being played at Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi.

Haryana went on to dominate from the starting of the match. Haryana who led 12-0 at the half time scored through Pooja Rani (1, 2, 7, 19), Nicky (9), Jyoti Gupta (11, 52, 53, 69), Deepti (13, 26), Navdeep (17), Navneet Kaur (20, 70), Reena Rani (22, 41, 44, 61), Navpreet Kaur (27, 50), Jyoti Dahiya (42), Malkeet Kaur (59) and Own Goal (68). Senior Women’s Hockey National Championship 2013 Updates, Railways and Karnataka are in Quarter Finals

Karnataka (from Pool G) has entered the quarterfinals of the 3rd Hockey India Senior Women National Hockey Championship being played at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in the Guru Gobind Singh College.

23 April 2013: Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy (MPHA) won 20-0 against Jammu & Kashmir in a Pool D league match. Hockey Maharashtra vs MPHA in the final of Sub-Junior Men’s Hockey Nationals (West Zone)

New Delhi, 15 April 2013: The Hockey Maharashtra entered the final of the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship (West Zone) being held at Mumbai Hockey Association Limited Ground.

In the semi-final match, The Hockey Maharashtra registered easy win 6-0 over Chhattisgarh. Sumit Prasad scored three goals for his team The Hockey Maharashtra, while Aniket Gurav scored 2 and Taleb Shah added one to complete the tally. Continue reading

Hockey India inducts Mumbai Hockey Association in its fold

New Delhi, 27 December 2012: Hockey India is pleased to announce Mumbai Hockey Association (MHA) as its new Associate Member. With the inclusion of Mumbai Hockey Association, Hockey India now has six Associate Members, with 30 Affiliated Members and two other Members through state Olympic Associations.
