India women go down 0-5 to New Zealand #HWL2015 Rd3 in Antwerp

After putting up a good fight against Belgium in the opening match of the FINTRO Hockey World League Semi- Final, India went down to New Zealand and lost the game 0-5 in their second match of the tournament.

The match between the two teams turned out to be exciting as the teams were seen in complete action not letting the other team take easy advantage of the scoring prospects. New Zealand scored a goal in each quarter and one extra in final quarter to complete the tally. However, India had their time and control of the game in patches but failed to take advantage of the ball control during these periods. Gemma Flynn and Kirsten Pearce scored twice each while Olivia Merry found the target once for New Zealand. Continue reading →
