Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014, the Hague (Netherlands) from 31st May to 15th June 2014Following the conclusion of the men’s and women’s Africa Cup for Nations continental championship in Nairobi, Kenya, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) is pleased to announce that the full line-up for next summer’s Rabobank Hockey World Cup in the Hague (NED) is now known.

Australian success at Oceania Cup confirms latest teams for The Hague

India men and Belgium women have become the latest teams to qualify for next year’s Rabobank Hockey World Cup in The Hague (NED), the International Hockey Federation (FIH) can confirm.

Spain become 9th team to qualify for Men’s Hockey World Cup 2014

With Germany being crowned champions of EuroHockey 2013, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) has confirmed that Spain men have become 9th team to get a place at the 2014 Rabobank Hockey World Cup in the Hague from 31st May to 15th June.

Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014, the Hague (Netherlands)  from 31st May to 15th June 2014Next in line of reserves for World Cup qualifications are Malaysia and India. Though both Malaysia and India also have a chance to qualify for the quadrennial event by winning Asia Cup title. However, the two Asian teams will know their status after the completion Asia Cup and Oceania Cup respectively. The Asia Cup 2013 being played in Ipoh, while Oceania Cup 2013 will be played Taranaki, New Zealand, from 30 October to 3 November.

Spain’s berth at Hockey’s global showpiece event was guaranteed following Germany’s triumph in the final of the TriFinance EuroHockey Nations Championships in Boom, Belgium. Continue reading →

China Women Get tickets to the Hague Hockey World Cup

After the completion of the women’s tournament at the TriFinance EuroHockey Championships in Boom, Belgium, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) has confirmed that China have qualified for the 2014 Rabobank Hockey World Cup, the joint men’s and women’s event will be played at the Kyocera Stadium in The Hague, Netherlands from 31st May to 15th June in 2014.

China – who just missed out on direct World Cup qualification by finishing fourth at the recent Investec Hockey World League Semi-Final in London, England – were promoted from first reserves to guaranteed participants courtesy of Germany’s success in the TriFinance EuroHockey Championships on Saturday. Korea Qualify for the Rabobank Hockey World Cup

Korea are the latest team to be confirmed as qualifiers for the Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014, which will take place at the Kyocera Stadium in The Hague, Netherlands from 31st May to 15th June next year.

Black Sticks Men Confirmed for World Cup 2014 in The Hague

The Black Sticks Men have secured a spot at the 2014 Hockey World Cup in The Hague, Netherlands after England edged Korea in bronze medal match at the World League Round Three tournament in Malaysia.

Hockey New Zealand / Black Sticks LogoAfter finishing fourth at the World League Round Three event in Rotterdam, the Black Sticks are now confirmed qualifiers for the World Cup by virtue of being the highest ranked of the two fourth place finishers across both World League Round Three tournaments.
