Australia, the world number one side showed their dominance in the final of Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and defeated India 4-0 to retain the title. In the Bronze medal match, England edged past New Zealand in dramatic penalty shoot-out 4-2 after having scores locked 3-3 in regulation time.
In the women’s hockey competition at Glasgow 2014, Australia won Gold, while England and New Zealand took Silver and Bronze respectively.

Australia have won every gold medal in men’s hockey at the Commonwealth Games since the sport was introduced in 1998 making it 5 consecutive Gold at the quadrennial event.
