Black Sticks to attend hockey Festival Days throughout the country

The Black Sticks will be inspiring New Zealand’s young hockey players at Festival Days being held in 13 towns throughout the country over the next three days.

Black Sticks LogoFrom Northland to Invercargill, hockey associations have invited schools to come and meet the Black Sticks, with some expecting more than 300 children to take part in Hockey New Zealand’s new junior Small Sticks programme.

“With the Black Sticks leaving for Europe in the first week of July, it is a great opportunity for children to give hockey a go as well as wish the team well as they take on the world’s best at the Olympics,” says Hockey New Zealand’s chief executive Hilary Poole. Continue reading →
