New Delhi, 30 May 2013: Andaman & Nicobar edged past last edition’s Semi Finalists Haryana 4-2 in Pool H match of the 3rd Hockey India Senior Men National Championship 2013 to register their second consecutive win.

Bijju Yirkal, Kusha, Chandan and Birsu scored a goal each for Andaman & Nicobar while Jitender Saroha scored two goals for Haryana.
Pradhan Somanna, Affan Yousuf and Joga Singh scored three goals each as Air India raced to a 15-0 win against Chhattisgarh in their Pool B league match of Hockey National Championship being played in Pune.
Air India notched their second win in the four team pool. Air India scored through Sameer Dad (2 min), Pradhan Somanna (5, 40, 66 min), Affan Yousuf (9, 31, 68 min), Joga Singh (18, 21, 25 min), Birendra Lakra (32, 63 min), Swami Vinaya (56 min), Cheeyanna Bopaiah (58 min) and Arjun Halappa (61 min) while their opponents Chhattisgarh fail to open their account. New Delhi, 27 May 2013: The 3rd edition of the Hockey India Senior Men National Championship will be played at Pune, Maharashtra from 28 May-10 June 2013.

In 2013 edition of the championship, as many as 38 teams will be participating in the championship which will be played on a league cum knockout basis on the Major Dhyan Chand Polygrass Hockey Stadium Pimpri and Shiv Chhatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex in Pune.
This year four new teams including Comptroller and Auditor General, Sports Authority of India, Mumbai Hockey Association Limited and Namdhari XI will participate apart from 34 teams which participated in last edition. Continue reading →
23 April 2013: Pooja Rani, Jyoti Gupta and Reena Rani scored four goals each, as Haryana raced to 23-0 win against Uttarakhand in their concluding Pool A league game and entered the quarter-finals of 3rd Hockey India Junior Women National Championship being played at Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi.
Haryana went on to dominate from the starting of the match. Karnataka (from Pool G) has entered the quarterfinals of the 3rd Hockey India Senior Women National Hockey Championship being played at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium in the Guru Gobind Singh College.
While Railways have qualified for quarterfinals from Pool A, where the defending champions outclassed Uttarakhand (19-0) and Tamil Nadu (19-0).
23 April 2013: Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy (MPHA) won 20-0 against Jammu & Kashmir in a Pool D league match. Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy defeated The Hockey Maharashtra 7-3 to claim the title of the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Men National Championship (West Zone) while their Women counter parts defeated The Hockey Maharashtra women’s team 7-0 to win the Women’s competition played at Mumbai Hockey Association Limited Ground in Mumbai.

Bhopal, October 15: Raina Yadav scored four goals as Odisha raced to 14-0 win against Rajasthan in Pool C league game on the second day of 2nd Hockey India Senior Women National Championship at Asih Bagh Stadium, Bhopal today.
Raina Yadav who scored three goals against Tamil Nadu in Odisha’ first match played an important role in team’s victory. Odisha who led 9-0 at the half time scored through Namita Toppo (3), Sunita Lakra (2), Birajini Ekka (2), Nilima Minz (2) and Punam Barla (1).
