Assam Clinches Sr Women Nationals B-Division Title, Delhi 3rd

19 March 2014: Assam clinched the title of 4th Hockey India Senior Women National Championship 2014 (Division B) as they managed to beat Himachal Pradesh 3-2 in a hard-fought final played at the Aish Bagh Stadium in Bhopal.

Himachal Pradesh gave a challenging start to the game when Ravita Chauhan scored the very first goal for the team in the 4th minute of the game itself. Assam took no time in returning the favour and found the target twice in 6th and 8th minute with the help of Dolly Yadav and Maully Yadav, respectively and took away lead from Himachal by the end of the first half at 2-1. Haryana Beat MPHA to Win Sub-Junior Women Hockey National Championship 2013, Odisha won Men’s Title

New Delhi, 27 May 2013: Haryana defeated defending champions Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy 3-2 in the final of the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship (Finals) 2013 at Aish Bagh Hockey Stadium in Bhopal, while Odisha thrashed Jharkhand by 8-0 to win Men’s title.

The goal scorers for Haryana were Sonika (3 min), Ritu (35 min) and Navneet Kaur (49 min) while Karishma (4 min) and Neelu (24 min) were on target for Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy, as MPHA failed to defend its title. Continue reading →

Sub-Junior Hockey National Championship (Final) 2013: MPHA vs Haryana in Women’s and Jharkhand vs Odisha in Men’s Final

New Delhi, 26 May 2013: Defending champions Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy will take on Haryana in the final of women’s category of the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior National Hockey Championship (finals) 2013, while Jharkhand will face their neighbours Odisha in men’s category final.

The Fans of HockeyA fine display by their forwards in the penalty shoot-out guided Haryana women to a 4-2 win over Chandigarh after the teams were tied 2-2 at the end of the regulation time in the first semi-final. Haryana scored 2-0 through Reet and Deevika in the shoot-out. Day 4 at Sub-Junior Hockey National Championship (Final) 2013: Chandigarh and MPHA Complete Women’s Semis Line-up

New Delhi, 24 May 2013: Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy and Chandigarh women entered the semi-finals of the 3rd Hockey India Sub-Junior Men & Women National Championship (Final) 2013 played at SAI Centre, Bhopal on Friday and now will face Jharakhand and Haryana in semi-finals respectively to be played tomorrow.

Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy defeated Karnataka 6-1 in their last league encounter of Pool A. Haryana registered their third consecutive win, as they defeated Jharkhand 5-1 in their Pool B match.
