Indian Junior Women’s Hockey team thumped minnows Russia 10-1 and a favorable result in the last match of Pool C between Australia and New Zealand (3-3 Draw) saw India through to quarter finals of ERGO Hockey Junior World Cup being played in Mönchengladbach (Germany). The U.S. Women’s Under-21 National Team’s second round of Pool A play was against the Netherlands, a team with comparable tournament accolades of previous USA competitor Korea, having been crowned Junior World Cup Champions in 1997 and in 2009. ENGLAND Under-21 woman notched up their first win of the ERGO Hockey Junior World Cup in Germany with an emphatic 8-1 demolition of Belgium in Mönchengladbach on Sunday afternoon.
