The Hague, Netherlands, 5 June 2014: India played 1-1 draw against Spain in their third match of the Rabobank Hockey World Cup 2014, played at the Kyocera Stadium, The Hague, Netherlands today. With this draw both the teams got one point each on the points table (given below). A commanding performance from start to finish helped the Kookaburras to a second consecutive win, 3-0 over Spain, at the Rabobank Hockey World Cup in The Hague on Monday. England’s first game of the Rabobank Hockey World Cup was against world number 10 side Spain. Alastair Brogdon gave England the lead inside six minutes as Bobby Crutchley’s side dominated the first half with a host of chances. Spain came back at England in the second thirty-five minutes and Eduard Tubau pulled the crucial goal back to take a share of the spoils in the Pool A match. South Africa edged past Spain with lone goal from CHAMBERLAIN Dirkie in 67th minute of the game to win Bronze Medal. Ireland have made the final of the FIH Champions Challenge I beating South Africa in a fast paced and exciting match 2-1. Irish women’s will now face USA in the summit clash at Glasgow tomorrow, Sunday 4th may at 5.45pm. USA defeated Spain 3-1 after leading 3-0 at half time of other semi final.
