London 2012 Hockey MEN-Day 2 Review & Results The only surprising result of Day 2 of the London 2012 Hockey MEN’s competition was the 2-2 draw between South Africa and hosts Great Britain. Australia and Netherlands registered their 2nd victory. The Second day of the Men’s Hockey Competition of London 2012 Olympics will see 8 times Olympic Gold Medalists taking on Blacks Sticks in the first match of Mid-day session (Pool B | 13:45 BST, 3rd match of the day). On Day 1 of the Men’s Hockey Competition at London 2012, Great Britain and Australia of Pool A, Netherlands, Korea and Germany from Pool B earned full points from their respective matches while Spain and Pakistan shared the points as they played a draw. Spanish Captain Santiago FREIXA is ruled out of the rest of competition after suffering from broken arm during the match against Pakistan. FREIXA will be replaced by defense man Andres MIR BEL.
