Ipoh, 16 April 2016: Australia defeated India by 4-0 to win the 25th edition of Sultan Azlan Shah Cup at Sultan Azlan Shah Stadium, Ipoh, Perak in Malaysia. The hosts Malaysia were edged out (5-4) in shoot-out by New Zealand in Bronze medal match after being locked at 3-3 after final hooter. Pakistan defeated Canada by 3-1 to finish fifth. Ipoh, Malaysia, 10 April 2016: India registered their second win at the 25th Sultan Azlan Cup 2016 beating Canada 3-1. Earlier in the day, Australia outclassed Pakistan by 4-0, while New Zealand defeated Japan by 4-1. India started off strongly and registered their first goal in the 3rd minute itself. Ipoh, Malaysia 7 April 2016: In their second game of the tournament in Malaysia, Australia outclassed India by 5-1 in 25th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2016, while New Zealand were held by Canada for 1-1 draw. The hosts Malaysia edged past Japan by 4-3 to top the table.
