Indian girls did wonderful a job in overcoming the defencive mode of their Italian counter-parts. As Italy needed a just draw to reach the finals of Olympic Qualifiers (to be played tomorrow at 8PM IST), whose winner will be play in London 2012, they played defencive and did not want to concede goals and attacked rarely. Indian women’s team came up with impressive performance, after yesterday’s draw against Ukraine, to beat Canada with an impressive score of 4-1. Their men counterparts did well in converting penalty corners (4 successful conversion of 5 chances) to defeat Italy 8-1. But Indian mens did not look as ruthless as they were against Singapore. They committed some usual mistakes in defending e.g. as slow foot movement. These mistakes against top teams may cause dearly.
