New Delhi, 19 May 2013: The Indian Junior Men’s Hockey team is undergoing a preparatory camp at NSSC (SAI) Bangalore. The team will travel to Europe from 23 May-5 June 2013 in preparations for the FIH Junior Men Hockey World Cup to be held in New Delhi from 6-15 December 2013. The 18 member squad will be Captained by Amit Rohidas while Malak Singh will be the Vice-Captain. The squad for the European tour was selected by Hockey India Selectors Col. Kookaburras Call on Experience for Hockey World League Semi Finals in Rotterdam

World Champions the Kookaburras will welcome back seven Olympians as they get their 2014 World Cup qualification campaign underway in Europe next month. The newest tournament in the international hockey calendar, the Hockey World League is Australia’s first opportunity to qualify for the 2014 World Cup. The Kookaburras name a 20-strong squad for the tour to Europe, which also includes two test matches against the Netherlands and one against rising stars Belgium. 11 March 2013:  Today, the FIH announced the line-up for the women’s Hockey World League Semi Final tournaments to be held in London and Rotterdam in June, following the completion of the women’s Hockey World League Round 2 tournaments. England, Argentina, Australia and China are the four teams which automatically qualified for the Investec World League Semi Final in London, thanks their FIH World Ranking, while South Africa, USA, Spain and Italy have now been added to the line-up for what promises to be a scintillating week of hockey. Following the last of the women’s Hockey World League Round 2 tournaments which concluded  yesterday in Rio (Brazil), the FIH today announced the line-ups for the two women’s Hockey World League Semi-Final tournaments to be held in Rotterdam and London in June. Australia Beat Netherlands 2-1 on Golden Goal to Win 5th Consecutive Gold, Pakistan Finish 3rd in Champions Trophy 2012

Continuing on their fine run through out the tournament, the hosts Australia clinched 5th consecutive Gold Medal at Champions Trophy by defeating the Netherlands 2-1 on golden goal. It was the men in Orange, who took lead in 17th minute through Sander Baart on PC, but Russel Ford made it 1-1 on a missed PC, which stood till half time. Final Standings: 1. Australia, 2.
