New Zealand beat India 2-0, make it double victory for Black Sticks at Nelson

New Zealand defeated India by 2-0 in their first test match in the ongoing New Zealand Tour. New Zealand‘s Nick Haig and Jared Panchia scored the goals while India failed to find target in four quarters of 15 minutes each. In the women’s match, Black Sticks women defeated Argentina by 4-1 to make it double victory for the hosts at Nelson.

India vs Spain 3rd Test Live Stream Here, India beat Spain in 2nd test

After losing 1-4 in 1st match against Spain, the India Men Team beat Spain 2-0 in their second match played at Sant Cugat del Valles. These results levels the series at 1-1 and set-up interesting stage for 3rd and final test match between two teams.

Australia won Hawke’s Bay Cup, China finished 3rd

A late penalty corner drag flick from Jodie Kenny claimed the Australia a 3-2 victory at the 2015 Hawke’s Bay Cup after being deadlocked with Trans-Tasman rivals the New Zealand Black Sticks in the final minutes of the final match on Sunday night.

Earlier China held on to win Bronze Medal, as they overcame Korea by 3-2. USA stunned their Pan-American rivals Argentina by 3-0 to take 5th place, while India scored twice in last 6 minutes to avoid last place, by defeating Japan 3-2 in 7th place play off.

Final Match: Australia 3 (Emily Smith 40, Brooke Peris 43, Jodie Kenny 60) beat New Zealand 2 (Gemma Flynn 1, Olivia Merry 44)

Bronze Medal Match: China 3 (Xiaxoue Zhang 10, Mengyu Wang 15, Qianqian Bao 37) beat Korea 2 (Darae Kim 17 & 51)

Speaking after the match Australia Head Coach Adam Commens said, “It wasn’t our prettiest performance tonight, however, ultimately it was a victory. I think tonight we learnt a lot about our team and where we need to be if we want to be consistently winning tournaments. Hawke’s Bay Cup: India beat Japan to finish 7th, USA defeated Argentina for 5th place

India saved their best till last at the Hawke’s Bay Cup women’s hockey tournament 2015, scoring two goals in the final quarter of the 7th & 8th playoff to beat Japan 3-2 after going down 2-0 early in the match. USA stunned their Pan-American rivals Argentina by 3-0 to finish 5th in the tournament.

7th-8th Place Match: India 3 (Sushila Pukhrambam 27, Deepika 54, Rani Rampal 57) beat Japan 2 (Mie Nakashima 9, Yukari Yamamoto 20)

5th-6th Place Match: USA 3 (Jill Witmer 20, Katie O’Donnell 26, Lauren Crandall 44) beat Argentina 0

The teams from Asia, India and Japan, had just one draw each to show for their 5 matches at the tournament and were desperate to avoid bottom place. Japan attacked strongly from the beginning of the first quarter and their reward came in the 9th minute when Mie Nakashima drilled home from in front of goal.
