The game started with both teams looking at attacking the opponents D, but their efforts did not yield any results in the entire session, leaving the scorecard 0-0 at the end of 1st quarter. With a goalless 1st quarter the second quarter was very important for both the teams as they looked at opening their score and take an edge on the game. The Indian boys troubled the defenders on a couple of occasions but were unable to find the target. The second quarter even saw both teams unable to open the scorecard and at the end of halftime the game was still 0-0 leaving the last two quarters as the decider session of this all important third match. New Zealand, 08 November 2014: The Future Black Sticks Women have won 5-0 against the India Juniors today, backing up an earlier win and a draw in the series being held at the TET Multisports Centre in Stratford.
The first half of the match saw a defensive game from the Indian division, but slipped away two penalty corners in New Zealand‘s favor which were successfully converted by Siobhan Nuzum and Su Arn Kwek, giving them a 2-0 lead by the end of the first half. The Junior Black Sticks Women were seen to on an attacking spree from the very beginning of the game and held the Indian Junior Women Hockey team back from opening their goal account in the match. Jalandhar November 7, 2014: Star Studded Rail Coach Factory (RCF Kapurthala) clinched the title in women section of 31st Indian Oil Servo Surjit Hockey Tournament at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here by beating Haryana XI via penalty shoot-out by 3-2.
