Jalandhar 15 October 2013: Punjab XI (Pakistan) bounced back to hold Punjab XI (India) 2-2 draw in the second test match of three matches series after losing first match at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here today, in the ongoing 30th Servo Indian Oil Surjit Hockey Tournament.
Today Punjab XI (Pakistan) team was different altogether and displayed controlled hockey and gave no chance to Indian girls to win the test series. In the 12th minute of match, Sukhjit Singh opened the account with field goal for India to make it 1-0, while Pakistani team scored an equalizer the Asma Ashraf in 24th minute. And the scores remained level at 1-1 till half time.
Just 2 minute after the change of ends Indian player Navjit kaur netted the ball to take the lead once again. But the team from Pakistan equalized once again as Asma Ashraf scored after dodging the goalkeeper of Punjab XI (India) in 43rd minute. After that the Indian side earned three penalty corners in a row but failed capitalize . Third and last test match will be played on 17th October.
