The Fans of HockeyEventsAsia CupMuhammad Atiq to Lead Pakistan Hockey Boys Team at U-16 Asia Cup in Singapore

The Pakistan U-16 Boys Hockey Team will fly to Singapore for participating in the 2nd U-16 Boys Asia Cup to be played from 4th to 7th April 2013 at Sengkang Hockey Stadium.

Logo of U-16 Boys Asia Cup Hockey Tournament SingporeMuhammad Atiq will lead the 10 member squad, while Nohaiz Zahid Malik will be his deputy in the tournament, which will be the first time the new FIH Hockey5s modified game will be played officially in the World. The tournament will also serve as qualifier for Youth Olympic Games, to be hosted by Nanjig in 2013 August. Apart from Pakistan and Hosts Singapore, 8 other Asian teams including Korea, Malaysia, Japan, China, Bangladesh, Chinese Taipei, Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan will fight for the top honours in Asia.

Tahir Zaman, Manager/Head Coach of announced the following members of the contingent, after getting approval of PHF President Qasim Zia:

PLAYERS: Muhammad Sheraz Hafeez, Mubasshar Ali, Sikandar Mustafa, Adeel Latif, Muhammad Atiq (V.Capt), Nohaiz Zahid Malik (Capt), Muhammad Junaid Kamal, Junaid Manzoor, Shan Irshad & Roman Khan.

OFFICIALS: Mr. Tahir Zaman (Manager/Head Coach), M/s. Zaheer Ahmad Babar, Rehan Butt & Sabir Ali (Coaches), Mr. Mubasshar Mohsin (Physiotherapist), Mr. Hassan Akhtar Rasool (Judge) & Mr. Amir Hamza (Umpire).
