Defending Olympic Champions Germany will take on, in form Netherlands at 20:00 BST at Riverbank Arena in London Olympic Park. While Hosts Great Britain will face the World Champions and Number One side Australiain their quest of clinching Bronze Medal in front of home crowd at 15:30 BST.
In semi-final, the defending champions showed their character in defeating the World Champions Australia (4-2), while the Dutch outclassed the hosts, world number four, Great Britain (9-2) in semi-final.
World number three side, the Netherlands came into the semi-final without any hiccups and came victorious in Pool B with all wins. In the pool matches, Netherlands defeated India (3-2), Belgium (3-1), New Zealand (5-1) and Korea (4-2). While the Pool B runners-up and world number two side Germany, were held for draw by New Zealand (5-5) and were defeated by the Netherlands (3-1), the other finalists. The Germans defeated Belgium (2-1), Korea (1-0) and India (5-2) to make it to the semi-finals.
The Dutch will come into the final with a massive confidence as they defeated Germany in the pool match and won the Semi Final with a 7 goals margin i.e. second biggest after India Vs France 10-0 in the 1936 Olympics. While the Germans have the capability to turn the tables with their rock solid defence and would be looking to repeat their win over the Oranje in the Beijing Semi Final.
In other classifications matches of the day, India will take on South Africa at 08:30 BST to avoid wooden spoon, while Spain will play for 5th position against Belgium at 11:30 BST.
