Canada fell 1 – 2 in their first match against Argentina yesterday.  They will take the pitch today determined to secure a victory.  Last week, eleven of the Junior Women in Argentina competed for the Women’s Senior National Team against the Olympic-bound Team USA.  While disappointed with four losses – the young Canadians gained invaluable international experience.   In April, the Junior Women had a very strong performance at the USA-Canada Challenge, remaining undefeated against the USA’s U19 Squad.

It is going to be a busy summer for Team Canada.  The young women will face Team Mexico from June 18 – 20 in Surrey, BC followed by a tour of Europe from July 4 – 21.  Canada will be tested against strong international teams including the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Spain.  The Junior Pan American Championships will take place September 10 – 23 in Guadalajara, Mexico.
