FIH President Leonardo Negre and Las Leonas Captain Luciana Aymar

Silvina D’Elia scored lone for the hosts and word champions Argentina (Las Leonas) to secure their fifth title at an FIH Champions Trophy with a 1-0 victory over Great Britain and their first title of the FIH flagship tournament on home soil. The Olympic Champions, Netherlands, claimed the Bronze medal at the Argentina FIH Champions Trophy by defeating Germany 5-4 in an exciting match. Japan beat New Zealand 4-3 in extra-time to secure fifth place and to Qualify for next Champions Trophy. While Korea beat China 3-2 on penalties to finish 7th in the 8 team tournament.
