Sultan Azlan Shah Cup, the most prestigious hockey tournament outside FIH calendar, which has been regularly hosted since its inception in 1983 and have been played 20 times including 2011 edition. Previous winners details can be found here on the official website of tournament.
This year world champions Australia won the cup for record 6th time, while Asian Games 2010 Gold Medalists Pakistan were the runners-up, followed by Great Britain and New Zealand at third and fourth positions. But the joint defending champions South Korea and India could finish only at fifth and sixth position respectively in 7 team tournament.
Our website has turned one year old with Azlan Shah Cup 2011 and we are happy to say that we have been partially able to achieve our targets of having a live hub of hockey-news and have been getting a good response from our visitor.
